Our Story

In 2012 when my husband, Chris, and I brought home our two youngest children from China, the road to FARM127 had already begun. God had placed in each of us a heart for the fatherless. This not only led us to adoption but to volunteering with organizations serving vulnerable children such as those involved with foster care and children of incarcerated parents. After moving to Charlotte, we became involved with Congregations for Kids and learned more of the plight of the most vulnerable population (those in foster care) and their realities as they age out. Our perspective of the orphan expanded from not only young children in need of a family but to all those aging out of foster care who also need family, community, and support. James 1:27 says, "to care for the fatherless who need help.” FARM127 was founded to answer this call.
