Youth aging out of foster care face significant challenges as they navigate the transition into adulthood. From housing instability and limited access to education and employment opportunities to a lack of emotional and financial support, these vulnerable individuals often battle with an array of obstacles as they strive for independence and self-sufficiency.

To assist the vulnerable population transitioning from foster care into independent adulthood by providing housing and advocating for their specific needs

Our Purpose

Every year more than 23,000 young adults age out of foster care, many of them with little to no support. 20% of these young people instantly become homeless, and within 18 months that percentage increases to 40%. In Charlotte, that equates to about 8 to 16 young people each year aging out of the foster care system having no bed to call their own.

FARM127 is a faith-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to bridging the gap between foster care and independent adulthood by providing housing and advocating for the needs of those aging out of foster care.
